#2 · Aug 26, 2010 Hello. Firstly - High beam are definitely more than 5W (55-60W?) :shhh: DRLs are high beams at approx. 30-45% of their power. To run DRLs in US spec (with corners on) is possible in your car, but you should have interface running with DIS, NCS Expert or BMWScanner. If you do, I'll try to give you some more info later.

#3 · Dec 11, 2011 I just bought this: http://www.xcar360.com/bmw-scanner-1-4--bmw-scanner-bmw-diagnostic-bmw-scan-tool.html. It can turn off DRLs and I would definitely get it if I were you. Works well with Windows XP and simple to use. Plus I can code many other things. It basically pays for itself in the long run.

Alternatively you can buy a pair of aftermarket DRL modules with heat sinks on ebay or the like for around $130-150 a pair. The majority of the cost comes from the LED board.

I'm trying to have my drl and fog lights both turn on when I turn on my headlights (regular xenons not bi-xenon). Both drl and fog lights use regular bulbs (no xenon). drl is programmed to turn on. Would this be the right way to wire it?
